This is Riley. He is one of the dogs that have been rescued from a “high kill” shelter by the Save a Pet Animal Rescue. Save a Pet rescues Pennsylvania animals and also works closely with Crossing Paths Rescue in Alabama. The Mission of these shelters is to find loving homes for abused, abandoned and neglected animals; to spay/neuter their rescued dogs of age to stop the cycle of unwanted litters; and to maintain a high standard of care for the animals, including veterinary care, housing, love, tenderness and compassion. These rescues are very near and dear to my heart. If not for the love and dedication of the shelter volunteers, thousands of dogs, cats, and even puppies and kittens would be killed including Riley, who is now a member of my family. It is because of Riley that a portion of the proceeds of every hand-made item will be donated to the Save a Pet Animal Rescue.
